Internet giant AOL is set to debut a revamped media player and music download service called AOL Music. Users will be able to preview, purchase and download songs from iTunes Music Store as well as music videos and a user community. In addition, AOL Music members will be able to download songs for playback on mobile devices.
AOL is currently undertaking a massive makeover to become more competitive against online content providers like RealNetworks and Microsoft, as well as in-house multimedia products developed by Nullsoft (creator of Winamp). Their new media player code-named Llama will be made available this summer.
